Comments:3325 - Wow, Dr. Henderson is an amazing and fantastic professor who is also one of the most humble men I have ever met. He truly is a role model who made a hard class very easy to learn. He knows ODE's like the back of his hand so he knows how to deliver it in an easy way to understand for students. The class structure is pretty basic: lectures, textbook practice problems, daily quizzes in class, and 3 tests plus the final, all of which are very easy if you review your past quizzes and notes. Overall a great and easy course, I really learned a lot and love this man's great and humble personality. TAKE HIM, YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 2311 - Pearson literally tried to poach him because he is so good at linear. In fact, the notes that he uses in class were published by Pearson as an aid for the book. Take him take him take him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ODE - If you want to learn, take someone else. If you want an easy A in a hard class, take him. That's all that really needs to be said.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 3325 - If your thinking about taking this classes. Be prepared for it to feel like a 1 hours lifetime fitness class. No seriously, a "5 workload" is an understatement. Virtually no work needed in the class, especially when it is online. In addition, if you were thinking about taking another "hard" class on top of your busy schedule but not sure if it would be too much, well think no longer. Take it. You won't have a problem.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ODE - Guys, he is the best! He is so kind, joyful, and calm. He wants you to succeed, and he is a super lenient grader (the lowest grade I've gotten on a quiz is a 9/10). Moreover, the class is super interesting, kind of like a computation class but for general solutions. TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM (especially if it's online)!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - By far the best professor I have ever had. He teaches in a way that makes the material very easy to understand. Tests and quizzes are very doable and workload is minimal. Plus, Henderson is the nicest man you will ever meet! TAKE HIM!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - ODE - Dr. Henderson is an amazing teacher and a great guy. I never did the homework but paid close attention in class and was able to succeed. He runs his classes the same everyday but I still found myself excited to go to his class because he engages very well with his students. 10/10 would recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 3325 - Dr. Henderson is by far the best professor I have ever had in any subject. He is sweet, kind, and very caring towards his students. He is the only professor I have ever found who taught math the way it should be taught around the world - with motivation, followed by definitions and theorems, and then examples. Instead of feeling like I was reading a book about math, I felt like I was being taught math. I came to class anticipating learning something new everyday. His lectures were engaging and funny. The charm of Dr. Henderson's class was in the fact that he actually knew what he was talking about, so he could sit down and write on a blank sheet of paper about any differential equation subject you asked about. We learned things that other ODE classes never did, and I used them countless times to solve differential equations in circuits in 6 steps instead of 30. His quizzes are easy if you wrote down anything the day before, and his tests are just like the quizzes. His final was just like his tests, and he gave a review for the final just to make sure everyone did well if they tried in the class at all. I never had to worry about getting a good grade in his class, which left me available to worry about learning the course material and applying it. It wasn't that you didn't learn anything in Dr. Henderson's class, it was just that it was taught so well that you learned it effortlessly if you have an aptitude for math. Honestly, I always walked away from his class with a smile on my face, because I knew I had just experienced the quality teaching that good students crave in college. His class was one where my joy of learning could thrive, and if I could take any other class from Professor Henderson in the future, I would in a heartbeat.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - Dr. Henderson is the greatest math professor in Baylor! He is very nice and explain things well. The quiz and exams are not hard as long as you listen to the class, take notes, and understand the material.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325- ODE - Without a doubt, the best teacher I have ever had. He goes his own way with teaching, so not everything is the same as the book, but he knows what he is doing. There is a quiz everyday over the previous lecture and unless you were asleep or just not paying any attention the quiz is an easy 100. He sometimes will even give the problem the day before. Usually the quiz problem is one of the homework problems (you don't have to turn in homework, its just for extra practice). He is an extremely nice teacher and truly cares that his students do well. He is happy to answer every question. The tests are almost exactly like the quiz problems, so if you review your quizzes before the test you should have an A on the tests. Overall an amazing professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325-ODE - Absolutely, without a doubt, no questions asked, take Henderson for ODE. He is most definitely my favorite professor that I've ever had at Baylor. Incredible teaching skills, personality, and truly wants his students to learn. There are quizzes every day, which were all based off either example problems the day before or an easy homework problem. I rarely did the assigned homework. Like someone else said, if the homework problems start to get frustratingly hard, stop doing them, because that problem will definitely not be on the quiz. Tests were all very straight forward; I studied mostly from the quizzes. He's very open to talking about any problems during the review class period before a test. The last day of class he expressed how much he loved teaching the class, and that he'd be happy to write recommendations for anyone who might need one. Such a sweet, sweet man with a heart of gold.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 1322 - How much do I love this man? He is so WONDERFUL. If you get a chance to take him, DO IT. DO NOT EVEN HESITATE. He is so lenient on grading. On one test, there was an entire page that I didn't know what I was doing, and he didn't take off a single point. I made an A on that test, and all the other ones. I didn't even do the homework. Honestly, if you're doing the homework, and they're starting to get frustratingly hard, stop. He doesn't put hard questions on his daily quizzes or the tests, so there's no sense in beating yourself up about the homework. In class, he's funny and all over the place, and this concerned me at the beginning of semester, but as I got used to him, he was funnier and more laid back. He is so nice, and I'm sure he's very helpful in his office hours even though I've never been. Make sure you pay attention in class for his quizzes, sometimes he does problems in class that are on the quiz.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 3325 - Henderson just might be the best professor I've ever had. He took ODE (which was supposed to be a hard class) and turned it into almost a blowoff class. His tests are extremely straightforward, as are the quizzes. He gives you a list of homework problems, but these are unnecessary because you learn everything in class due to his EXTRAORDINARY teaching ability. Also, he is absolutely hilarious: I did not find myself looking at the clock even once in his class. If you see an opening in one of his classes, take it. It's a decision you will not regret.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH 1322 - I cannot stress this enough. NEVER show up late for his class. He gives a quiz on the previous topic everyday, and if you're late, you will have to stay after class. They don't take long, but it's kind of embarassing. He's a pretty good teacher. Whenever we have a new topic with new problems, he shows us step-by-step how to solve them. Unfortunately, you will not pass this class without doing the recommended book work. Unlike high school, you will not be graded on them, but you will need them to practice for the tests and quizzes.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ODE - If I had one suggestion for any Baylor student, it would be to take him for any math class you find him teaching. Excellent teacher, great guy, and very easy tests. If you miss him and he isn't teaching ODE the following semester (he seems to rotate in what he teaches), you will be kicking yourself as you fail in some other lecturers class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325-ODE - Let me first say that I have had horrible experiences at Baylor with my Calculus classes. I was good at math in high school and made a 5 on the AP Cal exam, but made my first C ever in Cal 2 at baylor. Therefore, I was not looking forward to Ordinary Differential Equations. Henderson's class pleasantly surprised me. He has a great attitude and truly wants his students to learn. He always wears a smile and cares about calculus. He gives daily homework assignments and quizzes the first ten minutes of class that directly reflect the homework. You will make a 10 out of 10 on the quiz if you did the homework, which takes less than 30 minutes a night. His tests are very fair, directly reflecting the homework and his lectures. None of that business where the test questions are ten times more difficult than anything that was done in class. The final is just as stress-freeYou will get the grade you earn and he lets you know how you're doing in the class and doesn't surprise you at the end of the semester. He is an amazing professor! You should not leave Baylor without taking him!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ODE - 3325 - I can't express how strongly I suggest you take Dr. Henderson. He is extremely clear at getting complex ideas across, there are no surprises on his tests, and he is an extremely lenient grader. This teacher understands the relationship between learning and grading, and therefore is extremely open and willing to work with promising students. He is available most everyday except Friday when he travels, and always answers e-mails promptly. During the last week of class he offered to write anyone in the class a letter of recommendation. Superior teacher and definitely my easiest class this semester, even though I expected it to be my most challenging!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2311 - Professor Henderson is an incredibly nice man! He tries to kid around and stuff during class to liven up linear algebra. I learned a lot in this class and his presentation method was really easy to learn from. He's already offerred to write anyone in our class a recommendation letter if they need it.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2311 - Linear Algebra - This is a hard subject as it is. If you need help outside of class, he's great. If you need help because of a special situation, he's great. If you need to stay awake, thats not a problem. He makes us stretch about 40 minutes into the TR class to force us to wake up. I only got a C+ because it's not my best subject, I would always say take him.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1322 - He is an amazing professor. If you have a chance to take him, do so! He has amazing teaching ability. He gives a quiz every class but they are directly from the homework problems, so if you do those, you will do fine. He gives a review for the final and if you just study the review and can answer all the questions on the review you should make an A. TAKE HIM!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1322 - He is BY FAR my favorite professor at Baylor! He is absolutely a great person, tries to make all of us feel smarter than him. He's brilliant, and extremely helpful. He's really funny too. He gives a quiz every class that keeps us on track, they're usually easy or from the homework. His tests are similar to all the quiz questions. He's the best!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ODE - Simply put... Hands down.. THE BEST Prof. I have ever had so far in my 3 years at BU! I'm an egineering major and have had all the math offered at BU and took him for most of it! Very well educated and vaery well spoken! If you want to enjoy your time in Sid Rich(if thats possible)TAKE HENDERSON and enjoy class!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1322 - I loved this class! Prof. Henderson was the coolest guy ever. I liked this class better than Cal 1. He made class really interesting. You have a quiz everytime you meet over the homework; usually the quizzes were a problem from the homework. I really liked this class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-06-05

Comments:Cal 2 - Hendersen is a wonderful guy, and he actually kept me awake in the class. He had a grad student available to help with the class, so I went there pretty much every day so that I could get my questions answered. He also had lots of office hours. TAKE THIS GUY!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2006-04-07

Comments:MTH 3325 (ODE) - Prof. Henderson is a real cool teaching as far as ODE goes all you have to do is take down notes and make sure you understand the concepts but that is what the quizzes and takes are over. He gives a quiz every class time but if you do all of your homework it will be easy because he takes a problem off of the homework and puts it on the quizzes. The test are like the homework and quizzes combined so everyone should do good in his class.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2005-12-26

Comments:1322 - My favorite teacher at Baylor so far! He's really fun in class, but he also explains everything very well. There are daily quizzes, but they come from either the notes from the day before or from the assigned textbook problems.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MTH-3325 - Dr. Henderson is the best teacher ever at Baylor. I actually look forward to going to class and I'm taking ODE (not supposed to be fun). You do have a quiz every day but you get to drop 3, but all the quizzes are, are homework problems so if you do the homework then you will do good. I would definitely take him again.  - Grade In Class:B+
