*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:1305 - This class was very easy, to be honest, he threw a bunch of extra credit that like saved me I had C's on both midterms, and high A on the third, and an A on the final, and I left the class with an A professor is a good dude, but he's absolutely terrible at teaching. We are his first class ever, and he avoided students' questions. He does not know how to properly explain the terms, he always stutters and is never confident. in what he is saying. The homework is completely useless. It takes a lot of time to do, and it's just so boring. His exams are all over the place. They are difficult and keep jumping around, even though he says that they're easy, he gave us note cards on his tests. Which was very helpful, in my opinion, and he also gave a lot of extra credit on tests to upset. The fact that his test average was like a 60. His final was just literally a recycled version of all the exams. He didn't even bother changing a few names on the questions; it was easy to memorize the old questions and their answers, or u could write them down on a note card and just get an A. This class is very self-taught. It's very easy. if you don't have the time, don't bother taking this professor because it's a lot of outside work. hopefully, He gets better. his office hours are completely useless. They're only once a week, and when you go ask a question, he just brushes it off kind of, and when you ask him something again, he just says what you're thinking is wrong and just asks you what do we do from here? He never addresses the questions and always answers with I don't know, or I don't remember. Baylor just brought up a guy who's good at research and said that he is fit to teach when he really isn't. His accent is thick. Bro showed up to class two weeks late because he got deported or something, which isn't his fault, but still. this was my fun class. There were some cool activities. We got some candy one time. but if you're looking for a class where a professor can actually teach u. This is not it, and take someone else. Also, the most frustrating part was he posted a podcast when I was asleep, and then I'd wake up the next day and see that I had a quiz in class. He is so inconsiderate, especially when he says teaching is 25% of his time. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - Terrible professor. He is new to Baylor, and I can just say that he is not meant for teaching, or at least right now he is very bad at it. All of his exams had an average of 50-60 so what he would do was put an extreme amount of extra credit, so his average looked better. He has said that teaching is only 25 percent of his time. In the beginning of the semester, he would send emails at 10pm asking for us to listen to podcast because they will be discussed during class the next day, which is ironic because he said that if you sent him an email after hours he was not expected to reply. This class really hurt my GPA, and I regret not dropping this class when I had the chance. Do not take him. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:Eco 1305 - This was his first time teaching and he couldnt start the semester for a few weeks so the whole pace of the class has been trying to get back on the timeline of the class. He will not answer peoples questions like actually ignore students which is hard because the class is basically discussion based about the slides he clicks through very fast. He hadnt shown empathy until halfway through the semester allowing note cards for tests and extra credit. But our final is cumulative with no note card so he doesnt have that much empathy. But, nothing is completion or consistently graded. One time my friend and I did an assignment together with the same answers for a group work activity and they got a different grade than I did... I would not take him if you can help it. He talked about not allowing computers/technology during class next semester. He also randomly will post podcasts on canvas and his canvas is a little unorganized. I think he could be better next semester but he should be a last resort! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - Taking a class with Professor Ahimbisibwe is like signing up for an endurance test you didn’t agree to, only to discover the rules keep changing while you're running. If I could sum up my experience in one word, it would be chaotic. From the very beginning, the course was riddled with problems that spiraled into an academic nightmare. The lectures? Pointless. He speeds through 50 slides in under 50 minutes, leaving students scrambling to write down half-finished notes before moving on. Questions in class are a wasted effort, as he brushes them off without any real attempt to clarify. If you don’t already understand the material, don’t expect to learn it here—you’ll be self-teaching from the textbook, which, by the way, is the only reason you might pass his ridiculous exams. Speaking of exams: they’re grueling, unnecessarily difficult, and average out at a depressing 68%. His solution? Overloading the syllabus with random extra credit opportunities. While extra credit sounds like a lifesaver, it’s a trap. He schedules it at absurd times, even during other classes, and brushes off complaints by telling students to skip those classes if they want the points. The grading system is another layer of madness. Assignments seem to be graded arbitrarily, as if scores are decided by a coin toss or dartboard. Podcasts are assigned with almost no notice—think 10 PM the night before class—and are somehow expected to be a priority despite his constant acknowledgment that teaching is only “25% of his time.” This course is supposed to be geared toward non-business majors, yet it’s a relentless grind that disregards the fact that students have other commitments. If you value your mental health, GPA, or sanity, do yourself a favor and avoid this class like the plague. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - If there was one word I would use to describe this class it would be HELL. This class was probably the loss of my sanity this entire semester. This was due to the sheer amount of absurdity that I experienced on a day to day basis. At the start of the semester he had some problems with his visa which isnt his fault but it already got the class off to a bad start. Ahimbisibwe somehow manages to get through 50 slides in less than 50 minutes because you only get to see the slides for 2 seconds before he changes. You will have to teach yourself quite frequently in order to do well in the class. Thankfully the tests are based after the book so you can just study with the book. The grading for the inclass assignments is so random, it is almost as though he closes his eyes and throws darts to decide those scores. There is crazy amounts of extra credit in order to supplement the horrible exam averages. This class was soo soo bad, I would not wish this class on my worst enemy. Do anything else but take him. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - This class is unneccesarily hard, it is suppossed to be for non-business majors and I am struggling. Our tests are worth 80% of our grade currently but we are seeing if he will change that. Lectures are basically pointless and you are not going to learn anything valueable because he speeds through the slides. When you are confused and trying to ask questions he simply breezes by it and does not really answer the question. The class is honestly so unorganized because other students hijack the class. Another thing that drives me crazy about this class is that he is offering extra credit but IN THE MIDDLE OF OTHER CLASSES, when we brought it up to him he just told us to skip that class if we really wanted the credit. The tests are also so hard for no reason by the grace of God I did okay on them, but I was the exception and not the rule. Our test averages were at ~68% everytime and he would try and supplement them with extra credit so it didn't look bad on him. He also would assign podcasts for the next day's class at 10 or 11 PM, and expect us to have listen to them. The homework and textbook that you have to buy are the basis for this class so you need to study that like your life depends on it. He has no regard for the fact that you have other classes and expects this to be your #1 priority all the time, but says that teaching is only 25% of his time. This class has honestly been a nightmare for me and if there is anyway you can avoid this class I would because it has been nothing but trouble for me. AVOID AVOID AVOID - Grade In Class:B+
