*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:PHI 3301 - Very shocked at the other ratings. Dr. Reed was a phenomenal teacher and the class isn't difficult at all! If you do the readings and take good notes, you're honestly set to do very well in his class. He is a harsh grader when it comes to literature reviews, but again, if you do what's expected you'll pass. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Ethics And AI - Very good teacher, the class is pretty difficult with a presentation, a couple short essays, and a fair amount of reading the main things to worry about. Definitely worthwhile though, even if you don't need to take the class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:PHI 4340 - PHI 4380: East Asian Philosophy is a very niche subject but is fascinating and worth taking! Dr. Reed is by far the best professor I've had at Baylor and we are lucky to have him in my opinion. He is incredibly knowledgeable and makes very complex Buddhist metaphysics easily digestible for an undergraduate philosophy student. The course has quite a bit of reading but is absolutely manageable. Even if you aren't interested in Hindu, Buddhist, Dao, or Confucius thought, this course will strengthen your reasoning and analytical philosophy skills abundantly. 10/10 recommend any course with Dr. Reed! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:PHI 3301 - Please do not be afraid of the large workload that is present in Dr. Reed\'s class. If you set your mind to something, you can achieve it. Dr. Reed is one of the best & most intelligent professors at Baylor, and his class gives students so much insight into philosophical concepts that are difficult or near impossible to understand if you were attempting to study them on your own. I learned and gathered so much information from his Moral Philosophy class and will never regret taking it. I enjoyed how he would draw out concepts on the whiteboard and explain them to the class while simultaneously engaging us and making sure we understood the concepts. He will provide what you need to ace the course, and he only makes the assignments difficult because he expects the best from his students. I also laughed every class and was constantly engaged and interested in what we were reading. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3312 - If you can avoid taking this class with him, avoid it. He's a good lecturer but the content he assigns is way too hard and there's way too much of it. Discussion questions are due every week, there are super hard reading summaries, and he grades competitively. I'm serious. Avoid taking this with him if you can. Nice guy, but the class is way too hard. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3301 - Dr Reed is a nice guy but you will have your work cut out for you in his class. You will have to give a 20 to 30 minute presentation on an assigned chapter from the book you read throughout the semester. Also, he grades competitively, so your grade will be relative to the other students in the class for the major assignments. 3 reading summaries, 20-30 minute presentation, mid term, final, discussion questions. Do all the work and you'll be okay, but it's more work than you'll be able to handle. - Grade In Class:B+
