*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:ENG 1310 - I honestly can’t recommend this professor to anyone. From the start, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. A friend of mine asked for feedback on her paper, and Professor Flint told her it was "ungradable"—without offering any constructive criticism or advice on how to improve. It’s her job to help students develop, not shut them down. Beyond her lack of professionalism, she made unnecessary, unprovoked comments about students' clothing, particularly targeting leggings as "inappropriate" for class. Never mind that she wore floor-length dresses and fur coats every day—her obsession with policing what we wore was uncalled-for. The class itself was a joke. She treated the lectures like high school classes, forcing us to do ridiculous ice-breaker sessions that were totally out of place in a college-level course. And let’s not even get into her grading. She expected graduate-level work but didn’t provide the proper support or guidance to match that standard. It was clear she wasn’t interested in helping students succeed, and it felt like she was setting us up to fail. Overall, this was a terrible class with an even worse professor. Save yourself the stress and find someone else. - Grade In Class:C
Comments:1310 - I underestimated this course going into it. I thought being a good writer would be satisfactory enough to get through the course with a decent grade- I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, her class is indeed engaging and she teaches clearly most of the times, I just thought the workload could be extreme every now and then, but it is bearable. What I did enjoy about this class is that you are given a daily work grade every time you visit the writing center or go to her office hours with work to receive feedback on (there's no limit). I had stacked up a lot of extra credit points over the semester and transformed my B- to an A-. In general, if you care about her class and gather extra credit if needed and she sees that, you'll be just fine. Once I started showing more effort I started getting A's on my work. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - DO NOT TAKE. Class average on essays is a 60, final is worth 40% of the grade so if she decides she doesn't like your essay your absolutely cooked. Will take off major points on small errors to make sure "I can get your attention so you can fix it in the future". Believes the course is a graduate level English course and not the required course Baylor makes freshmen take. Take your chances on literally anyone else in the department - Grade In Class:A
