*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:MIS 3305 - DO NOT TAKE HER! Most unhelpful/ incompetent teacher I have ever seen on this campus. Boring and talks about subject like we already have experience in MIS and like we should already know everything. Again DO NOT TAKE!!!!!! - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3320 - She does not give any help for tests and makes them so random and difficult. Even if you know what's going on, the tests are trick questions or oddly specific. You are in the same group all semester and have SO much work outside of class with them. (Groups of 5-6; very hard to coordinate times to meet.) She will like you more if you come to office hours. I just think that the tests are not a good representation of the class. Also the lectures feel so long but try to take notes if you can, they help. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3320 - Most of the workload is this big project that you do through the semester and there are different deliverables for different parts of the projects. She gives you almost no time because the projects are things that you have not learned in class so you could not even start on it if you wanted, but sometimes she will push back due dates for those if she is behind. You go to her office hours and she is super cryptic and gives you little to no help. Her class time is just reading off slides and made me want to end it all most days because of how bored and unengaged I was. All the quizzes were open note which was nice but didn't make up for the thousand other things I hated about the course. She is a nice lady but this class is just not it. I would say don't take her but she's the only option for Systems Analysis so all I can say is good luck. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3320 - Professor Sanchez is a teacher that expects you to already know things walking into the class. She speaks to you in a very demeaning way when you ask questions outside of class. She does not give you enough time or help to do the projects. She does not add extra office hours for her students. Do not take her if you have the choice - Grade In Class:C
Comments:MIS 3320 and MIS 3301 - Lowkey I think these people are being way too dramatic, I didn't think her course was awful. Was it easy? No, but it wasn't impossible especially if you put in the effort. Truthfully I thought she was a great teacher and connects the content with the field very well. Projects were difficult, but not hard to do right. Just pay attention to what she wants in class (she makes it clear) and go to office hours to make sure it looks good. Exams were not easy, but also not hard. She will take questions mainly from notes and emphasizes stuff in class that will be on exams. Never used the book once - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3101 - I have mixed feelings about this course. Overall, I think she does a good job teaching, and she is very kind and encourages us to come to office hours, which people definitely did! The only thing is sometimes she would be passive-aggressive if we ask about something she feels we should already know, which can feel defeating if you are struggling lol. There are 1-2 coding homeworks per chapter (8 chapters), and some of them have taken me like 10 hours so START EARLY! The tests are fairly hard and have trick questions, so prepare a lot for the tests and study early. Sanchez has high expectations but she is nice and is approachable. (also no need for textbook) - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS 3320 - Possibly the most unhelpful professor I have had at Baylor. Her tests are pretty much definition based or trick questions- no in-between. Doesn't care about her students, not even enough to know their name. Lectures at you for an hour and 15 minutes in the most boring way possible. Has her favorites in the class and you can tell if you are or aren't. You have one big project that you give deliverables for all semester and she is very unhelpful. Everything is done out of class and she gives no guidance during class on what to do. Showed her my project I worked on for 6 hours and she smiled at me while she told me everything I had done was incorrect based on her "specifications"- which she never tells you what they are or how they can be accomplished. Talks about her time in "industry" which was in the 80s and 90s and acts like she knows what MIS does now. I think she's the only 3320 professor but if she isn't stay away. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS3301 - Sanchez is the best professor to take for MIS3301, hands down. Her class is extremely fair. What you put in, you will get out. Pay attention in class and do well on the assignments. The assignments are straight off of what we go over in class. If you study and know everything in the slides, the tests aren’t bad at all. The key to this class is the slides. If you can understand those, you’re golden. Sanchez is super kind and wants to accommodate her students. She is always available in her office hours and over email. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. This was a great class and Sanchez does a great job at teaching Python. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3301 - Let me just start by saying that Nancy teaches both MIS 3320 and 3301. Apparently, she's a better professor than Sullivan for 3320, but it depends for 3301. Nancy gives you a powerpoint and a very detailed way to organize your notes for each section of the textbook (don't buy the textbook, you learn everything you need in class). The only reason why this class can be hard is the coding homework. At first, they take 1-2 hours and you're feeling confident, but then they take 2-3 hours and then you get a partner and they take 4-5 hours together. This class builds fast, and she takes no mercy on you for skipping class (you will be very behind if you do). So don't miss a single one of her classes and make sure to download the powerpoint presentations to refer to when doing the homework. Homework is 35% total (5% each), 2 exams (15% each), final (20%), and a project worth 15% of your grade. She's not terrible, but learning python does take a good amount of effort, so the material is hard too - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3301 - Python is not a difficult language to learn, but I believe the way Sanchez assesses your knowledge over the material is just terrible. Nancy comes off as a very nice and helpful lady, but her quizzes and tests are downright evil. She is helpful in office hours, but she can kind of roast you if you don’t know something she thinks you should. There is a quiz and python program you will have to complete for each chapter. Some of the later programs would consume my entire Sunday trying to figure them out. The quizzes are some of the trickiest python questions you could imagine. Everything was lockdown and webcam so it made it difficult to look at code and just think through it in my head. I wish I had a scratch piece of paper or something to write down my work/thought process. We also weren’t able to view the correct answers unless we went to her office hours! It’s just a quiz! The group project wasn’t too bad, but it is unfair how unevenly distributed some of the tasks are. Some are ridiculously easy, just like previous things we have done, and then some are brand new topics that she has never discussed. The final was absurd as well. All finals I thought you were supposed to have 2 hours to complete? We only got an hour 15 with 70 questions!? I had absolutely no time to go over it and think about some that I was stuck on. I went into the final barely with an A, and after her plethora of tricky and deceitful questions, I dropped to a B+. Take anybody but Sanchez for python - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS 3301 - All of her reviews are positive, but none are for 3301, the Python class. I am typically an A student, and I work really hard in school. With that being said, her assignments were impossible because she didn't teach how to do anything in Python. She basically just described what certain things do and then expected you to complete an entire assignment, with no example or anything to go off of. I paid $40 a month for code academy and learned more in 1 day of that than I did in the entire class. This was a horrible experience. She's really nice but I did not learn anything from her lectures and extremely struggled. - Grade In Class:C
Comments:MIS 5335 - Ms.Sanchez is an extremely nice professor! She teaches in a very clear, concise and organized way. That may be because she has many years of working experience in big corporations such as ExxonMobile. She is always available to help and very patient even I asked many boring and tough questions. She understands the needs of international students and take care of them. I really appreciate her help and support. The workload is not much. There is no assignment but only a team project with three exams. She lives out the image of Christ. You can feel the fruit of the Holy Spirit in her class--peace, joy, wisdom, patience, and love. It`s great blessing for me to take her class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3320 - Nancy Sanchez is the best MIS 332o professor. She makes herself incredibly available and will help you on all of the projects if you come to her office hours. She takes the time to actually explain the concepts and she sets you up very well for the later MIS classes. She is SO much better than the other systems analysis and design professor. TAKE HER! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - She is so sweet and helpful. She never mind reshowing a step and helping anyone understand what to do.Having the MOS exam happen during class was a big pluse as well. A lot of homework but all of it is cruitial for understanding the class. The textbook projects were long and could have been replaced with the practice in cengage. Overal great teacher. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS 1305 - Mrs. Sanchez is a great professor! Always available to students who need extra help and very patient in class when students fall behind. She hands out review sheets before every test and if you know the terms/understand how to apply them you will do fine. If you want an A, you MUST show up to class every time. It is very easy to get behind. I had zero experience with excel/access and learned a lot from this class. Great class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3320 - You don't have a choice on who you take for this class, but Prof Sanchez is a great teacher. As an MIS student this is probably your most important single class, so pay attention and ask questions when needed. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - She was such a kind person, she always came to class happy and ready to start. She went slowly through the course material and was quick to answer questions. At the beginning of the course she made sure to let everyone know that if we needed help, to let her know right away and she will stop class and help us. Mrs. Sanchez was also available during her office hours and was very kind and willing to help you. She encouraged the class to do "homework tutorials" found in the book, but I never did them, only the assignments she posted (about 1 every week or two). I felt as if her tests were fair but they are specific and do require studying. I learned a lot in her class and she made it enjoyable. She only offered one extra credit assignment (which was one bonus point on your final exam grade). I highly recommend her as a MIS 1305 professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3320 - She was a very friendly person, the test were a bit of a challenge for me. New material, unlike anything I learned before. I recommend getting a physical copy of the textbook. The iPad version is badly implemented as of this review. The group project was a lot of fun putting together. Was a lot of time and effort, but its a good feeling getting something like that working. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3345 - Good lecturer, tests weren't hard. Good prof to take - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3320 - Alrite, this class is harder than it looks. You would think drawing diagrams and connecting boxes would be extremely easy, but it's actually quite challenging. The project you have to complete takes a lot of time and effort. Make sure you don't wait till the last minute or slack off on the milestones. Go to her office hours before turning in each assignment so she can look over it. She'll offer suggestions that'll help tremendously towards getting a good grade on those. The tests are hard, you pretty much need to create ERD/Class diagrams/Seq.etc from scratch. The M.C. isn't too bad, she doesn't try and trick you with those. The only thing you really need to worry about is getting the diagrams down. Once you understand that, you'll do well on both the project and the exams. As for Sanchez herself, she actually has real-world experience, so she definitely knows what she's saying in class. However, because there are very few homework assignments, you don't get to practice creating the diagrams outside of the group project. My suggestion is to practice drawing them out from the scenarios in both the book and slides. Definitely know the concepts and definitions, because those constitute the majority of the M.C. The final isn't too bad since it's all M.C., but the 1st two exams rocked me. Also one final note: for her tests, Sanchez will often include material from the class discussion not found on the notes. Make sure you attend class on a regular basis or you'll be lost come test day. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:4321 - She is probably one of the best teachers in MIS... There are 4-5 HW sets. The workload is a lot if you do it at the last minute or you don't know what you are doing. Grading for HW sets are the easiest. Projects are slightly harder. Tests are the hardest(relatively). It is not hard to get an A if you could code and turn in everything in time. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - All of the reviews say she smiles a lot..I thought she was extremely condescending towards anyone in class who asked a question and she seemed fake and forced to me. I made a B in this intro course yet as a computer major I can program and build computers myself. NONE of the tests are on the actual computer, all of it is handwritten which doesn't really test your ability to use a computer what so ever. Do EVERY question on the study guides and use the textbooks to study because 90% of the test comes directly off of it - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1305 - Sanchez is one of the best professors I've had at Baylor. She smiles through 99.9% of her lectures and enjoys meeting new students. Her homework assignments aren't very difficult as long as you keep up with them; each of these assignments helps tremendously on the exams. Exam reviews are given and come straight from lectures. Each test was multiple choice and as long as you look over the reviews, you should be fine! I definitely recommend Sanchez for MIS 1305. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - Professor Sanchez is a really nice lady. She smiles all the time and she is the best professor I've ever seen at Baylor. Not that much work and tests are not hard. Take her if you can! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3320 - Mrs. Sanchez is a good professor. Shes approachable and just seems genuinely happy to be teaching everyday. Tests aren't terrible. The group project is a ton of work but she helps you plan with milestones and is more than happy to help you in her office. We finished with a B+ on it. Pretty satisfying. One of the better classes Ive taken as an MIS student. Learned a lot. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS 1305 - Mrs. Sanchez is so laid-back, calm, and sweet. One of the sweetest ladies at Baylor. Not that much work, just some projects that don't take very long and are ultimately super useful in the real world. If you can get her, take her cause she is one of the best MIS teachers at Baylor - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 1305 - professor Sanchez is a very sweet lady, but this class is a LOT of work. It helps a lot if you go to class and pay attention to the step-by-step instructions that she gives on the computer, you will remember it later if you do it this way rather than trying to learn from the book afterwards. (I never ever used the books one time) The projects are HUGE and worth only 2% of your grade. Do the test reviews that she gives, the test questions are multiple choice and they come straight off of them. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:MIS 1305 - Gorgeous! Prof. Sanchez smiles a lot and is very sweet and nice. All her exams are memorization. There four projects due such as excel, dreamweaver, access, and office. All are doable and are only 5% each. I made a B+ overall on the projects. There are 3 exams and a final exam. The exams vary in difficulty. Excel and Access exams would be the hardest of them cause you have to know a lot. Regardless who you pick as a professor, it will be all the same. At least if you pick Sanchez, you get to see her smile a lot! =) - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3320 - I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Sanchez for MIS 1305 and then again for System Analysis and Design, one of the MIS major classes. Mrs. Sanchez is a very organized and extremely caring professor. If you show effort to work hard in her class, she will go out of her way to make sure you understand all of the concepts well. The key to doing well in this class is to take very good notes. She purposely keeps things off the PowerPoint’s to make sure you are paying attention in class. Get a spiral notebook and try to write down as much as she says. She loves diagrams on the board, so be sure to copy all of those down, as they are important when the test comes around. Start the assignments early enough so that there is plenty of time for you to go in and ask her questions before it is due. She is incredibly helpful in her office. Most of the time, I would be in her office almost about three hours a week, and she never got annoyed with me. The semester-long group project is actually very interesting because it involves getting to create a mock version of an information system to solve a business problem outlined in the scenario. The key to doing well on the project is to start early and set milestones so that your group is not overwhelmed at the last minute. The exams are part multiple-choice and part short answer, so be sure you know the material well enough to write it out. There is always ERDs/class diagrams on the second exam and the comprehensive final that you must complete from scratch. She always posts a review about a week before the exams and this is a very good outline for the exam. Know the correct answers to the review questions well, and you will do well on the exams. If you have any other questions about the class, please feel free to e-mail me at mwleagle@msn.com. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305, 3320, 4321 - So 1305- it was okay, she doesn't give you any extra points. This is the first class I was truly upset with. I made an 89.7 and she didn't bump it up to an A. The work just seemed like busy work and the tests were okay. I didn't like having to memorize what buttons were on each tool strip. 3320- I never opened my book except for help on the diagrams. She was an awesome teacher and knew what she was teaching, I think she is perfect for this course. She teaches so well that you don't really even need to buy the book. 4321- I despise this class. I hate the fact that 30% of my class grade was a group project, applications that I built and spent 20+ hours a piece on only counted as 4% a piece, the endless bookwork combined with the apps only made up 20% of the class grade. The distribution needs to be changed, grades shouldn't rely on others' capabilities like the syllabus does. The one perk other than her teaching this class so well that you again don't need to open the book (except for homework) is that if you have above a 75 test average, there is no final. Either way, I enjoyed the class, it just needs to be restructured...and this is her first semester teaching it, so it wasn't bad. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 1305 - Mrs. Sanchez's classes were nice because she taught you the stuff on the computer and let you work through it step by step, but you have to pay attention and do what she says if you want to learn it. The bad thing about the class were the projects which took a ton of time- I spent 10 hours on one project- and they are only about 2% of your final grade. She is very very nice though and I would have ended up with a B in the class but she gives you an ungraded pre-test and post-test to measure your progress and bumped my grade up because of my improvement on it. She also will give extra credit based on excellent work on projects. The tests were all multiple choice, but you have to put quite a bit of time into studying to make a good grade. Even though she is very nice and you will learn a lot, I wouldn't recommend her just because of the time consuming projects she assigns. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS - Nice lady who really cares. Fairly easy if you put in the work. The projects can get complicated, so start early so you can ask her questions about it (she will answer them!) Tests aren't bad, she gives a review sheet with everything you need to know. I had to put in a little effort for the A, but I would recommend her. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Mis 1305 - Nice lady, ok class. You learn if you want to learn but if not, you're screwed. Don't expect to "get by." You either pass with flying colors or fail. - Grade In Class:C
Comments:MIS 3320 - Sanchez is nice and helpful. She keeps things simple and easy for you. If you pay attention in class, study your notes and definitions in the book for tests, and think outside the box for the project you will do well. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MIS 3320 - Mrs. Sanchez is a nice woman, but she has extremely high expectations. If you are an MIS major you have to take her, so there is no way to get out of it. She has actually worked in the MIS field before becoming a teacher so don't expect to BS your way through this class. The project is RIDICULOUS- do not take it lightly. Her expectations are enormous. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:mis 1305 - this class is the easiest class i've taken at baylor. you go over dreamweave, excel, access, and powerpoint and you take a test over each. she gives you a study guide, if you fill it out you'll make an A. you do buy pointless books/progrmas that you buy once and never use again (kind of a piss off). EASSSYY... TAKE HER.. i'm not sure what the people below me are thinking. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - Look at what the person two spots below me said and thay pretty much sums up everything. The projects you do in her class are pretty easy. However the test are a real pain, if you ask me testing somoene on a computer programs (Excel, HTML, Dreamweaver, Access etc) shouldn't be done on a scantron but rather on the computer.. Anyways, I never read anything for that class and just looked over the notes. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:Mis - She is a great person! A good teacher but her tests are hard. Two of my friends had taken her each two differant times and told me I should and that I would never have to study for her tests THAT IS NOT TRUE. she is great but her tests are harder than they should be. If you study and keep up you will be fine. The first two were much harder than the third. The test are fromm book and lecture both.but you could jus take very good notes of your own and do ok. The projects are sometimes long but pretty easy since you have your notes. They help your grade. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MIS 1305 - The Basics of This Class: You study the subjects of HTML, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. You do a project for each, and you take a test for each. The projects are easy, and she'll give you a lot of points back for marks you missed because of a TA grading. The tests, however, are really difficult (she likes to ask obscure questions that have nothing to do with overall comprehension of the subject), and all multiple choice. She's a nice person, and wants you to learn, but I'd definitely have her as a backup choice instead of first. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3305 - Mrs. Sanchez is really nice and pretty good at explaining things. It is very hard to take notes sometimes due to the subject matter, and thus even harder to study for her multiple choice tests. She uses non-important information maybe mentioned once to trick you. Very frustating and impossible to study for such a hands-on subject. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:MIS 1305 - "Dirty Sanchez" as we liked to call her, wasn't a great teacher. Her workload was not too hard, but it was very tedious and stupid and took forever. The tests are pretty hard. I went by her office (which is pretty hard to find by the way) probably about 5 times during the semester and she was there only 1 time, and these were during her office hours. - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:1301 - terrible class. this was my hardest class which is ridiculous. her tests were a terrible assessment of ur knowldege of the material. i thought i did well on a few and ended up w/ c's. i made high a's in all the projects so its sort of backwards that i'd do bad on the tests. they were multiple choice and she tries to trick u. she ended up curving a lot b/c ppl did prety bad in our class. Do not take her. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:ISY 1305 - Helpful teacher, assignments are long and kind of annoying, but she teaches well. - Grade In Class:C
Comments:1031 - Mrs. Sanchez is the nicest teacher ever. I made a B+ without much effort. the assignments are pretty long, but you have over a week to do them and she always extends the deadline. the tests arent too bad, just do the review, look over it once or twice and you will be fine. i didnt study much on the final either. and i still managed a good grade. TAKE HER! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - Great teacher, gives you a lot of opportunities to do well. Cares about her students. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - Mrs. Sanchez is the nicest professor ive had so far. Her tests can be really difficult, but if you go to class she explains everything you need to know. She's a really good teacher and pretty fair. Her workload really isn't that bad, her instructions are really clear and she gives you plenty of time to complete it. I'd definately take her again if I had the chance. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1301 - Ms. Sanchez is a very, very nice teacher and I would recommend her to any student who needs to take ISY. She is very fair and cares very much for both the students and the course itself. One bad thing that i guess you could say about the class is that the projects take a lot of time, but do not count very much on the gradesheet. However, they are an excellent way to prepare for her tests, which do count a lot on the gradesheet so they are worth the effort and time. Take Ms. Sanchez!!!! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - Mrs. Sanchez is the nicest teacher ever- and she is very passionate about ISY. The projects take ridiculous amounts of time and are worth 1 or 2 % of your grade. The tests are very fair. This class is hard, it's not her fault. I highly suggest her - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1301 - Very Nice. The workload does take time to complete her stupid projects. Usually you will have 6 or sp projects with at least 2-4hrs of work for each one. But hey if you dont feel like doing one of the projects then dont, projects worth 2-3% which is nothing. Exam are easy as long as you fully do the review. Class gets boring if your not a nerd. Also she knows a tramendous amount about is systems but if you ask her any technical question about new products that are out on the market she will have no idea what you are talking about. For a is teacher I think that is a little wierd. So basically when she covers material in class she only knows what she teaches and nothing more. Good teacher though. Take her for an easy A-B just all depends on how well you take notes in class. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1301 - probally one of the nicest ladies I've ever met. she was constantly e-mailing me back asking how she could help me. an amazing woman of God. really glad I had her. that said she is very hard. the workload was stressful. constantly working and doing projects that count nothinig but yet they can fail u.... take her tho. she's a blessing - Grade In Class:C
Comments:1305 - Sanchez is one of the nicest professors i've ever had...that being said she is also one of the most difficult. She has an innate ability to make ISY 1305 hard. Her tests are ridiculous and ask you to memorize things she doesn't even know - Grade In Class:B
Comments:ISY 1305 - I don't understand why everybody says this class is so hard...Excel, yeah, maybe, but the rest of it is pretty standard stuff, and I am certainly not from a computer background. Mrs. Sanchez is a very very nice lady and she cares a lot about her students and her field, but she just never seemed very confident in front of the class. She almost dodges your questions when you ask them if she doesn't know the answer; it's not very reassuring. Nevertheless, the class isn't too bad; the assignments aren't the best but they're doable and she's always willing to help. Tests are okay, all multiple-choice...on the whole, though, this class is a horrible format because it's very hard to learn about computers when you aren't sitting in front of one. I would certainly recommend Sanchez, though, 'cause you've gotta take the class if you're a business major (I've heard horror stories about other ISY profs). Good luck! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - Mrs. Sanchez is a great teacher. She is extremely nice and helpful. Her assignments took a while to complete, but I learned a lot from them and was able to use what I learned in other assignments and in my job as an office assistant. I think I could have made an A if I had studied harder for her exams. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1305 - Sanchez is very nice, and teaches the material well i thought. you are very well prepared to tackle the plethora of assignments that she gives. i think we had like 7 or 8 projects, but so do all the other classes. her tests are just rediculous and very hard. i studied quite a bit and made B's and couldnt make an A on any. the tests are super specific and long and are mostly irrelevant to the material that you have learned. its hard to take a test over what to do in a certain situation on a computer when the test is on paper. so i learned a lot but didnt make an A like i wanted because her tests were freaking silly. but sanchez is much better than most other isy teachers i think. youll just be frustrated with the tests, thats all - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - This woman loves her work, but when it comes to tests, she is incompetent. Her tests aren't a good measure of your skill level. The hardest test by far is the Excel one. She also doesn't offer much extra credit. She acts two-faced and pretends to be nice during class, but when you talk to her 1-1, she is totally the opposite. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1305 - DO NOT TAKE IF AVOIDABLE!! The assignments take hours upon hours upon hours, and they're worth 1 or 2 points on your grade. The tests ask ridiculously stupid questions that are completely irrevelant to understanding the concepts. Even if you study, they can trick you. Really nice lady-extremely polite and loves her work, but the way she does grades is ridiculous. I can't hate her though, because she is so nice. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:isy 1305 - I DETEST THIS CLASS! Not only is it incredibly boring, I've never received a C in my life! I studied my butt off, did all of the homework (which takes forever and counts for very little) and still didn't do well in the class. She has quite a few office hours, which I guess is nice, but I went in to ask questions several times and rarely found it helpful. She is a nice lady but an extremely boring professor. Please, take someone else! - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:ISY - Her class is so boring and she talks so fast. she gives a lot of project that will take you nights to finish and guess what her projects are just 1 or 2 points. Mrs Sanchez should try and change that kind of stuff. she should make the points of the project more. I get so annoyed when I spend nights doing a project that worths only 2 points. its annoying. if u like urself choose another professor. no extra credit in this class. Also 5minutes late assignment will get a 5 percent deduction and she reduces it like that. - Grade In Class:C
Comments:1305 - Too many assignments, and the excel test was the only A I didn't get, yet I ended up with a B+, go figure. Overall an easy class and and an average professor. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1305 - Good Teacher - Class is mainly powerpoint slide presentations. She really knows the material and is excited about ISY. Pretty easy to get a good grade in the class if you stay on top of your labs and do homework. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ISY 1305 - Explains the material well, but is really boring, lots of homework, but she shows u how to do it, tests are a bitch, really technical, but study hard and you should get a good grade - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:Intro to MIS - Sanchez is a great teacher. You have to take her. He is very helpful and very excited about her subject. She wants her students to do well, but come to class prepared, don't just come to class without your PPT notes and unwillingly to learn. Talk to her and she is willing and ready to help you. Take Her! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ISY 1305 - Although the subject is pretty boring, Dr. Sanchez does a good job explaining and making it as interesting as she can. She's a really nice lady, and is willing to help students and answer questions. I'm not very good at things invovling computers, but I did well in the class and understood most of it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Sanchez is a really nice lady and is knows a lot about what she says. However, her class is far and away the most boring class that I have had. I just kind of space out for about 40 minutes, turn in my assignment, then go on my way. I end up learning to do the labs as I go and still end up doing well on them. Her tests are ok depending on how much you study. I have never made above a 86 and the class average is usually around a 76. Overall the first half of the class about the parts of the computer and excel suck, but the second half on word and powerpoint is a breeze. If you survive the first half with a B, more than likely you are going to make an A in the class. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1310 - She's a nice lady, and she's willing to work with you. Responds to email and is pretty helpful. She's definetly knowledgable in information systems technology. That being said, she's not a great teacher. I thought myself to be pretty good with computers and such but I am struggling to make a C in the class. Maybe it's because I"m not motivated to pay attention and take notes but I still do the assignments. The labs are a pain in the butt and the other ISY class got off much easier from what I heard. The tests are really hard the class average is usually in the C range. Shes not as bad as these people are saying, but you'll get off easier by taking a different professor. - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:3305 - Okay, her teaching style is boring but what can you expect from an ISY class that every teacher does the same way? overall-just memorize the slides, and you got it made. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:ISY 3305 - The only good thing about this class was that there was practically no homework and its not a big deal if you miss class cause her slides are online. The project you have to do is pointless and a waste of time. It was the most boring class I have ever taken and I walked away learning nothing about information systems. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:Her classes are pretty boring and the tests are sorta hard. The project is just a pointless waste of time.
Comments:not someone i'd recommend...she actually knows what she's talking about but she explains it in the most convoluted way. you kinda get the feeling that she just sits at her computer all day at work and then goes home and sits at her computer some more. the first test is usually the hardest and the group project is a pain in the butt; it's way too involved. you'll also have to feel your way through some really hard homework that she doesn't really prepare you for very well.
