*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:1325 - Took as a gen ed class. Ended up learning quit a bit. Theres no exams just once weekly quizzes and a final poster project. She's super sweet and makes the class easy. Most classes are her lecturing or watching documentaries recommend her to everyone. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1325 - Dr. Townsend is probably the kindest professor I have had! Her class is really interesting and an easy A. She focuses more on students being engaged with the content and understanding it rather than memorizing, so there are no quizzes or tests. There are 10 mini "quiz" assignments which are mostly just two short answer questions - about two paragraphs each, and those are the only assignments you have the entire semester. No cumulative final - just a final presentation which is 5 minutes max and on a topic you enjoyed during class. She grades extremely easy because she just wants to see that you are thinking further about the global health issues. If you need an Anthro elective that is an easy A I would highly recommend this class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1325 - Didn't really learn anything for the class. All the free response quiz thing she does at weekly you can just copy and paste it directly from Chat GPT. The one assignments you have to do your self is an 8 slides presentation. If you have a friend in the class they can also sign you in for attendance. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1325 - Dr. Townsend is a very attentive, kind, and helpful professor. The class is super interesting and we covered a lot about social and health inequalities which was very relevant and important. The workload is very manageable, just a reading response due each week and three short essays during the semester. I highly recommend taking this class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1325 - Dr. Townsend's class was very interesting if you're taking the class in order to learn more about global health. She had weekly reading responses and an essay for each unit, but she had no tests. Her lectures were pretty long, but she made them more interactive and discussion based as time went on. Overall, really nice professor who teaches interesting stuff well. - Grade In Class:A
