Comments:1321 - Genuinely just a very bad professor. I had her fully online, so she might be a bit better in person, but she explained concepts so horribly to the point where I just had to ignore the things she said and learn by going over the textbook. Anytime she taught a lesson it confused me more and would undo any knowledge of calc I had even semi-retained. Another thing that was unfortunate was her ability to write on a screen. I could barely comprehend what she had written and sometimes I just couldn't read it at all. However, this was most definitely a factor of being fully online so if you take her in person I doubt that would be an issue. For her homework we would have a quiz each week and other homework assignments, like four of them with multiple problem sets, in addition to that each week. Those were very overwhelming at times. HOWEVER, her tests were literally the same as her practice tests just different numbers, so once I had picked up that trick it became a bit easier to study for specific things and do better.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1321 - She is the absolute worst professor I have ever taken. She makes everything in her class way too hard for no reason and is impossible to understand  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MTH 1321, Calc 1 - She taught basic concepts in such a weird way. When I got to the homework, I had no idea what I was looking at because it looked like nothing she had ever gone over in class. When I emailed her about this, she replied that I should know how and started on one of the problems. When I switched to a new class with a new teacher, I had no problem answering the same questions on the same. I don't doubt that she knows what she's teaching one bit, however, she is not very good at explaining it. It also didn't help that I had her class online where her handwriting was completely unreadable. There are better calc 1 teachers, so my advice is just to drop her class and switch into a new class immediately. I don't regret doing that at all.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Comments:calculus - One of the worst professors I have had. Her workload is insane and she does not grade any of it either. Her tests are insanely difficult and are unnecessarily harder than the work that she assigns to us. I did everything from attending every SI to doing every single question on the homework and I still failed this class.  - Grade In Class:F

Comments:1321 - I had a poor experience in this class with this teacher. I dreaded coming to class. Prof. Kabre teaches too fast. Her accent and pronunciation makes it hard to understand her most of the time. Her handwriting was especially hard to read and decipher(especially with with the chalkboard walls that came with the classroom. the chalkboards made the situation words as when Kabre tried to erase it made a mess.) Homework is given EVERY class. And the homework is way too much. I dropped this class because it was taking a toll on my other classes. I invested so much time in completing the homework and trying to succeed in this class that I didn't have time for my other major classes like biology and chemistry. Quizzes are given at the beginning of every single class. If you didn't do the hw you're toast. If you did, eh, maybe a little hope for you. Her quizzes average at about 4 questions. The exams were very difficult in my opinion. They were all short answer not multiple choice(which of course is justifiable since Calculus is not only grades on whether or not you get to the right answer but how you come to that answer). This class brings back horrible memories and I am reminded of my experience in this class every time I step foot in the Sid Richardson building. If you asked a question or wanted a clarification on a particular thing she said, she wouldn't be helpful. The comments she made were demeaning. From time to time she would, after she decided to take a break from her tangents, say things like, "did you get it?" don't you understand?", "how can you NOT understand, it's easy/simple". I found these comments to be really degrading which is why I felt discouraged to ask questions. I wanted to change my professor for calc but the deadline had already passed for that. I had no other option but to drop the class. My class started at about 15 people and right before I dropped the class there were only ~9 students remaining. The rest had either dropped the class or switched to another Calc professor. Overall, Calculus is known as a hard subject to grasp(as well as teach) and Ms. Kabre was no help in relieving that stigma. Do NOT take this class. Find a better teacher. Calculus is already hard enough; find a better teacher or better yet take calculus for dual/AP credit.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Comments:1321 - She is mean and cant teqch on top of that, she will hit the board with her hand if you cant answer and she will speak to you in a demeaning rude manner if you ask a question, she speaks to all the studen like they are fools, also, her tests are awful, they are so hard and strange. Advise against taking her, her notes dont help you and the homework isnjust busy work because she doesnt grade them  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1321 - Dr. Kabre is easily the worst teacher I have ever had. Her teaching style is awful. All she does is fill in the very poorly written notes and fixes all the typos she made in them. The class averages on the exams were not pretty. She expects you to do the homework for the daily quizzes, yet the quizzes are often much harder than what the homework called for. She does give opportunities to earn points back which is nice, but still not worth it to me. Will be taking a different professor next semester for this class, but by all means, if you like being yelled at when you don't understand something, let out late constantly making you late to your next class, and given the wrong answers to the homework, take this professor!!!  - Grade In Class:DROP
