*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:ENG 1310 - She is moody and treats her students like high schoolers. She doesn't shy away from embarrassing you and does anything to minimize the work she has to do. She also is passive-aggressive when grading essays. Class wasn't too difficult, it just wasn't an enjoyable experience. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1310 - The essays are mainly a completion grade, but the final essay is where your edits matter. I truly feel she picked apart my essay just for fun, but as long as you change it to her liking you'll end with an A on every essay. There is a final presentation for finals, which she never told us about until the week before but that should also be an easy A since it's based on your essay. The class can be awkward and she will call you out, even if you show up for every class and do well on essays. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 - Class really depends on who your classmates are, there are times where if no one did the reading it's super awkward and silent. Despite that the course is pretty dang easy. Quizes and exams are simple enough. Only main problem is the final project at the end of the semester, but she gives you so many options its a breeze. Would recommend, just pray you get decent classmates. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 1310 - I got an A-. Not a fan. Very liberal and has a bias against Christians. Insane amount of work compared to other ENG 1310 professors. Would recommend taking someone else. She does cancel class though which is nice. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Dr.Anthony is very nice but her workload consists of about 10 assignments a week and 3 large papers. Her lectures are somewhat helpful but there are 2 in classwork assignments due every class period which she does not give you much time to work on - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 1310 - Relatively easy class, with almost no work outside of class. Only thing you really do are essays, which are a lot of work but not too hard to score well on. Essays are written in three drafts, the first rough draft for peer-reviews, the second rough draft which you submit to Anthony for feedback but it isn't graded, and the final draft which is actually graded. If you revise your essay following her suggestions you should do pretty well, and there is a lot of workshopping time in class. Class is pretty boring since she spends the entire class lecturing on things that aren't super important, but you don't really have to focus since there aren't any homework or quiz grades. Not a bad english professor, she wants to help you and it isn't hard to do decently in the class if you focus on the essays when it's time. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Great Professor. she cancels class a lot but makes fun and not stressing at all, its a completion grade course so if you just turn everything in you can get an A- guaranteed. make sure to attend to all peer reviews that what lowered my grade, overall great and extremely chill professor. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:ENG 1310 - About the worst professor at Baylor. She does not care about her class and cancels class like half the time. Every time I went to her class it was a waste of time. DO NOT take her class, literally anyone is better than her. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:American Lit - Good professor! The class overall was easy. You have 2 essays a midterm and a final and discussion posts. But you have enough time to do all of it. She likes to engage with students during class. But I sparked noted most of the information and got an A. I recommend lit charts and spark notes and you will do fine! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Anthony is a very good professor. All you do is read some before class and post a discussion post. There has only been one quiz, and they are weighted as zero. If you do the discussion posts and go to class, then the midterm and final will not be a problem. Highly recommend - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - I really liked Professor Anthony’s class! She is a really funny and entertaining teacher who develops lectures that are very engaging. I could see that she always tried to adapt her lectures to engage students. She really likes students to engage in discussion within class and show that they are working, so I would really encourage you to participate in class. The class consists of discussions, peer reviews, 4 essays, and a reflection letter. Workload really was not bad at all! We always got enough time to write the essays, so I wasn’t stressed. Great teacher!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 - Professor Anthony played definite favorites and the communication between her and the students was horrible. I emailed her several times and she wouldn't respond. the discussion questions were horrible and quite annoying. Don't take this class! - Grade In Class:C
Comments:ENG 2301 - Prof. Anthony's British Literature class is not difficult, and it will be a breeze as long as you are familiar with the text, and study main themes of said texts very thoroughly. The choice of actually reading the texts or using SparkNotes is primarily up to you, I found both to be helpful (obviously reading in full will grant the best grade.) She is very nice and humorous at times, and class is not a drag as it may seem - it is mostly discussion-based and she encourages, but does not force, you to talk and express your ideas about the material. Testing strategy: The tests are mostly understanding the themes and plotlines of all the stories, so using SparkNotes/written notes to read up on all of the themes present helps. Exams are essay-based, meaning you will have to write about a story and/or compare two stories' themes. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Professor Anthony, as she makes a class that would sound painful and miserable into a class that makes you somewhat interested in older literature. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - rudest teacher EVER! she clearly has favorites in the class. she constantly made comments about students under her breath. if you participate she gets mad and if you don't she gets mad. if you have any form of privilege chances are she'll dislike you. In class she clearly states her political views and if you don't fall into her beliefs she'll dislike you. On one than one occasion she stated she disliked christianity and Baylor. She clearly only works for the money and has no regard for students or the baylor family. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:2301 - Professor Anthony is a very good professor. I took her Brit Lit course and it was honestly really fun. All you do is read books and poems and then take quizzes over them. I don't usually like reading but the books in this course were interesting so it wasn't too bad. The classes are basically just discussions over what you read which is pretty fun. She gives a quiz every class but they're usually not too hard if you read the assigned material or at least the summary on Shmoop. She only has a midterm and a final and a final project which aren't too difficult at all. I definitely recommend taking her. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1302 - I don't know many people who received an A in my class, which seemed a little unfair to me. I feel like I did everything right, yet didn't get the grade I think I deserved and was hoping for. I always participated to class discussion, turned in my papers on time and worked hard on them, and asked her questions and emailed her when I had any concerns. She requires you to participate in volunteer activities as an assignment, which most students blow off. I did all of my volunteer hours, and even extra hours, but when I went into the final with an 89, and wrote what I thought was a good essay, she gave me a low 88 as my overall grade. I loved how interactive her lectures were, and how funny she is, but I was a little upset with the outcome of my grade. The good news is, you can definitely at least get a B in her class, and I guess if you work harder than me, maybe an A. - Grade In Class:B+
