Comments:Beginning Tennis - Coach Jennings is kind and wants you to do well. With that said, she expects you to be an above average tennis player by the end of the semester. Most people in this class have never picked up a tennis racquet before enrolling. There is a skills check at the end of the semester that is worth 50% of your grade and is based upon accuracy, not effort. She waits until the morning of to cancel class, even if the weather is known to be bad. There are two paper exams, each worth 20% of your grade (total of 40%) and they are not insanely difficult but definitely not easy. The average was low 80's. She also does minuses for grades. An A is a 93, which I think says a lot. Overall, if you have never played tennis before I would recommend finding another lifetime fitness course.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1181 - Do not take her tennis class for your "lifetime fitness" credit!! The class is so unbearable. She takes it way too seriously and thinks that everyone is supposed to be the einstein of tennis, Attendance is mandatory and she has never canceled class a single damn time or lets us out a minute early. It's not even because I'm lazy... it's just like dude, it's beginning tennis it's not that deep. She's a good person, but no awareness and a bad bad teacher. This was my last straw with Baylor, $60,000 a year and cant even hire competent tennis professors.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1112 - This class sounded so interesting and it totally was. You could tell Jennings really knew her stuff and her personal anecdotes were always fun to hear. But I wasn't ready for the crazy amount of work it was for an HP class. Group project, midterm, knot tying test, final project, and a short final. The trip we went on was pretty cool and I learned a lot but if you don't have much free time or you want an easy A, pick another class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:backpacking - Coolest lady ever- however, for an HP I have to agree with posts below. It's a hefty load in comparison to other HPs with the final project, camping trip, knots test, etc. I don't regret taking it though, Mary Anne makes it fun, take it if you are looking for something different/love the outdoors  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Backpacking - As far as HP's go, Jennings is an amazing teacher. She makes the class fun. As far as HP's go, backpacking takes the most effort. The camping trip is a blast (hope you have a free weekend!), and the classes are mostly hands-on things like boiling water, setting up tents, geocaching, and reading compasses. However, start preparing on day 1 to plan your camping trip. The book is basically your Bible for this assignment. Follow it carefully, and the whole trip should take you a mere 12-14 hours to plan altogether. Great teacher, great class, but a lot of work. You definately earn your A here.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Backpacking - This class was still easy but for me, it is way to much work for an HP. You have a knot tying test, midterm, project and final. You have to spend $20 to buy a stupid first aid kit. You have to go on a overnight camping trip with your class. To me I got an A and Jennings is a great teacher but the class is just too much work.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Bowling 1124 - It's bowling! I actually got tired of bowling but it is a bowling class. She is the nicest lady ever and I am a great bowler :-) so the class was very easy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1192 - I took her weight control class and it was fun. SHe's really cheery and in good shape for her age. No papers due, take home midterm, just show up because she does take role everyday! She loves exercising and plans different events for the class like pool time, curves, rock climbing etc. Def. take her if you want variety.  - Grade In Class:A
